Clank Clink and Yelling

I live above 2 eateries and an Irish Pub so needless to say some nights the noise is entertaining and amazingly loud. At 1am there was a fight that broke out at the Irish Pub, go figure, and it had 2 guys running off into the night. It was pretty amusing but needless to say I ended up sleeping in late.

With the late start on the day, I’m taking the time to edit some photos and get them up on Flickr. I can’t post everything in my blog and my friend Sean was kind enough to buy me a pro account so I have lots of storage room there. The new challenge is getting cash out of the ATM. I tried yesterday and I couldn’t do get any out. Strange, so today I’ll be hitting different banks to see what gives. I have 9 days to figure this out and then my landlord might not be too happy with me if I don’t have my security deposit for my apartment. Ahhhh….international banking!

All the advice everyone kindly gave me before I left was sweet but I’ve found hardly applies when you actually move to the place. There seems to be a period of nesting that tourists don’t have, getting the necessities covered and also a much more relaxed pace to sightseeing. It isn’t that I’m not excited to see everything but I don’t have to wait in endless lines to do it because I know that in a week or two I’ll have the place more to myself. I want my first visit to some of the things I’ve waited to see…well…special. I don’t want to jockey for position or elbow my way through a crowd. So I walk past the places with a silent promise…oh I will return and at that point it will be more like a love affair.
